Your step-by-step roadmap
Prepare and document
- Confirm sponsor eligibility and gather relationship evidence (marriage/civil partnership certificate or proof of 2+ years cohabitation)
- Assemble financial evidence meeting the £29,000 income rule or £88,500 savings
- Sit an approved A1 English language test (unless exempt or from a majority English-speaking country)
Apply and submit biometrics

First period of leave

Settlement and citizenship
